As a member of Kolbe Academy,
I will trust in God’s plan for me.
I will be honest in all that I do.
I will be kind to myself and others.
I will have the courage to persevere.
I will humbly know who I am.
I will openly accept God’s grace each day.
Creating a Place to Learn and Grow
At Kolbe Academy we are a school community that supports one another. Each member of the community plays a pivotal role in the success of the school. As a compassionate and caring community, it is imperative that all members live in a way that builds the community up and fosters inclusiveness. For this to happen, students are expected to live in a way that exhibit maturity, respect, responsibility and compassion for others.
As the first faith-based recovery high school in the country, students will be able to grow in their faith and become men and women who strive to be their best at all times. At the center of this growth is The Kolbe Promise. This code of conduct focuses students on the qualities and values that are important to the growth and maturity of Christian young men and women. As a Catholic school, Kolbe students are expected to work hard, act responsibly, exhibit commitment, be honest, show respect, support their peers and be productive members of the community.
As students in recovery continue on their journey to remain healthy and sober, the The Kolbe Promise will aid them in this growth. This promise will be a set of guiding principles interwoven into the academic curriculum and the steps in recovery. The Kolbe Promise will be another facet of the recovery process and a support for our students at Kolbe Academy.
Each school day, all members of the Kolbe community will recite The Kolbe Promise. It states: As a member of Kolbe Academy, I will trust in God’s plan for me. I will be honest in all that I do. I will be kind to myself and others. I will have the courage to persevere. I will humbly know who I am. I will openly accept God’s grace each day.
